A Drummers’ Course by Multiple World Champion Drummer, Susan Mott

Four-time Canadian National Team Drummer, FCRCC Premier drummer and steers, Susan has compiled her experience in this comprehensive drummers’ course.

Susan has seen first hand what having a competent and confident drummer can do for a team. Drumming is not just about sitting at the front of the boat. It takes confidence, race knowledge and quick decision making to help your team to victory.

A competent drummer can make the difference between winning gold and losing silver.

In this course, Susan breaks down the myth that a drummer is just a figure head at the front of the boat. Rather, an effective drummer is integral to a team’s success!

This course consists of the basics of drumming, voice projection, taking command of the boat, writing a race plan, motivational strategies, race tactics and how to effectively use the drummer in practices.

Coaches and steers; this course will also help you as it will teach you to better utilize your drummer to take race-day stress off a steers and to be an asset to the team during practices as well as races.
