Dragon Boat Technique Clinic

False Creek Racing Canoe Club

Vancouver,

April 27-28, 2024

Get ready for an awesome 2024 racing season with this exploration into racing skills for your whole team!

False Creek Premier and RAP are always looking for ways to create cool and fun learning opportunities for dragon boat paddlers. This is our latest, which we are greatly looking forward to.

In Saturday’s race preparation clinic, paddlers will be guided through specific race preparation skills like warm-ups, starts, race plans, finishes…the works. There will be two paddling sessions for a total of 3.5 hours of instruction; 75-90 min per on-water session plus dryland instruction.

In Sunday’s technique clinic, paddle twice with members of False Creek Premier while receiving hands comprehensive technique instruction. Also, included: video review! See yourself paddling and receive some helpful tips to improve

In these unique paddling opportunities, participants are coached by FCRCC Premier Dragon Boat Program athletes and coaches.   FCRCC Premier paddlers are some of the best in the World with many having attended, and won, several World Championships.  Both the program’s coaches, Kamini Jain and Andrea Dillon, are National and International Dragon Boat Hall of Fame Inductees. Kamini will be the lead coach for both days

All levels of crew and individual are welcome.

Location: False Creek Racing Canoe Club, Granville Island
